This course for pediatric SLPs will open again in summer 2024.

We all know it's true and the research backs it up...

For our youngest communicators, we need the parents on board and participating in the intervention in order to optimize progress.

This means that we need to help already busy parents find ways to support language development at home in between sessions. It may not be realistic for many families to set aside time each day to practice communication skills. Fortunately, the activities that fill their schedule each day are full of opportunities to support language development.

This course was created for SLPs who work with children under four and will teach you how to harness the power of daily routines to support language development.

This topic gets to the heart of early intervention but this course is for all pediatric SLPs, not just EI therapists. We will cover:

1. How to select early language strategies and embed them into what the family is already doing.

2. How to get parents more involved in providing support between sessions by harnessing the power of daily routines!

3. How to plan and execute a routines-based therapy session.

You'll leave this course feeling confident and excited to support families within their daily routines. You'll also be equipped with dozens of handouts with specific ideas for daily routines and the blueprint for making parent carryover a success.

Sarah, Pediatric SLP

As a pediatric speech language pathologist working with children and families in their homes, I am so glad to have had the opportunity to take the Transforming Everyday Moments Course by Joanne Cazeau. This course delves deeply into the significance of daily routines in fostering language development in children. Each module is thoughtfully created to cover essential concepts, from understanding the powerful role routines have in a child’s life, to different types of routines (Caregiving, Helping/Family, Community etc.) and practical strategies for language integration.

What sets this course apart is its emphasis on empowering parents and recognizing some of the everyday barriers/challenges they may be facing. Joanne seamlessly integrates evidence-based practice with real-life examples and case studies, making it easy for parents and caregivers to implement learned strategies during everyday interactions in the home or out in the community. I cannot recommend this course enough!
